Digital Humanities Seminar, L’Orientale University

DHARMA is please to announce that a new seminar “Being a Humanist in the digital age” curated by Giulia Buriola and Csaba Kiss will be held at the University of Naples L’Orientale.

Offered by the Department of Asian, African and Mediterranean Studies as part of the ERC-Synergy Grant DHARMA project, this seminar aims to provide an introduction to humanistic computer science for licence and master’s students, as well as for all interested parties.

Topics include: Digital Philology, Geographical Information System (GIS), XML, Python, photogrammetry, and data visualizations. The theoretical introduction will be joined by hands-on sessions to practice the tools introduced.

Date: 18th of March, 1st ; 15th and 29th of April, 13th and 27th of May 2020
Venue: Palazzo Corigliano, Room T4

The seminar is open to all interested.
